Lightning Storm Results in Power Outages

Approximately 2200 members of Northern Neck Electric Cooperative in Northumberland, Lancaster and lower Richmond Counties experienced outages from the lightning storm Tuesday evening, June 1. Most of the outages were a result of Lottsburg Substation tripping offline. Scattered outages were also reported across NNECs system. Lottsburg Substation was back online by 8 p.m. with crews working into the night to restore power to all members.
